From Patient to Team Member: Robin’s Healing Journey with Owl Chiropractic

Hi, I’m Robin—you’ll usually find me in my happy place: the scan booth at Owl Chiropractic. It’s where the magic happens (seriously, if you know, you know). I get to witness the subtle shifts and big transformations that come from supporting the nervous system and aligning the body—and yes, it never gets old.

My journey with Owl didn’t start behind the desk. It started back in September 2020, when I walked in as a patient. Dr. Lynn greeted me with the kind of warmth that instantly makes you feel like you’re in the right place. She was just beginning to show with Ellie at the time, and I was supposed to be heading for back surgery. But instead of going under the knife, I chose chiropractic care. And let me tell you—I scored big time.

Like so many, I wasn’t just dealing with physical pain. After four decades in Corporate America, I was carrying around more than a few emotional battle scars. Anxiety and depression had settled in like unwanted houseguests. But after starting care at Owl, I noticed the shifts weren’t just physical. The adjustments started helping me mentally and emotionally, too. Over time, I began to recognize my body’s cues. Now, I know when it’s time for an adjustment—my body and mind are finally speaking the same language.

Fast forward to just a couple of years ago. I was hit with a health scare that made me rethink everything. I’d always run low on labs, so I wasn’t expecting a red flag. But my (very honest) natural doctor told me flat-out: stay in your high-stress job and slowly lose your health—or find something that brings you peace. Not for the money. For the peace.

That was the moment. I retired from corporate healthcare in December 2023, and by January 2024, I was on Team Owl. The past year and a half has been part healing, part rediscovery. I didn’t just want to help people—I was called to. Owl reminded me why I got into healthcare in the first place.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mom and grandma. My kids—Andrew and Charish—are grown with lives of their own, and I adore my four grandbabies. I also live with Finn, my sweet (and totally not spoiled, nope, not at all) dog.

When I’m not at the scan booth, you’ll find me thrifting, gardening, refinishing old furniture, or curled up with a good book.

If we haven’t met yet, I can’t wait to see you at Owl. Come get scanned—let’s see what your nervous system has to say.
